Curious about what Acupuncture is?
I am a Registered Acupuncturist and graduate of Pacific Rim College. Prior to my studies in acupuncture, I was enrolled in Pacific Rim’s Holistic Nutrition program, where I completed a year of training. It was during this time—after taking a Chinese Medicine course designed for holistic nutritionists—that I felt a deep pull toward this medicine. That class ultimately inspired me to continue my studies and pursue a career as an acupuncturist. I do, however, have a special interest in treating digestive-related concerns and in creating more awareness around what we eat and how it affects our overall health and well-being.
My clinical approach has also been shaped through mentorship with Kyra Klein PT, whose certified in Thoracic Ring Approach and Connect Therapy. This approach has deepened my understanding in how to assess postural imbalances, overloading issues, movement and stability.
My main sport is climbing, and I’ve spent over a decade deepening my skills and love for this sport. I love all the places climbing takes us, the community it brings together, and the mental fortitude it takes to face our fears and to see projects through. I love thinking about and practicing how we can show up better, push through and try hard, and the fine balance between wanting an outcome without grasping or expectation. This has naturally led me to develop a special interest in treating climbing related injuries, but also, working with climbers so they are moving well, recovering fully, and preventing injury.
From the very beginning of my career, I have been committed to making medicine accessible and affordable. I am proud to offer community acupuncture and to be part of a model of care rooted in sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and strengthening the communities we live in. I believe in preventative medicine, and in Chinese medicine as a gentle guide—helping us find ease, balance, and steadiness in a busy and demanding world.
